What is TATTOO ME: LEGENDARY INK? TATTOO ME: LEGENDARY INK is a 3D tattoo simulation game for iPhone® and iPod touch® from Bloodthirsty Games.
What is a Tattoovatar? Your Tattoovatar is your 3D character in the game. You can customize and personalize your Tattoovatar with a wide variety of tattoos, and can develop a personal look and style by choosing, sizing and placing tattoos in creative ways on your Tattoovatar’s body.
How do I create my Tattoovatar character? At the start of the game, you will be prompted to create your male Tattoovatar character. Enter your Tattoovatar name and then select your skin color, hair color, hair style, facial hair style and swimsuit color. Now your Tattoovatar is ready. It’s time to get some ink!
How do I buy Tattoos? From the Main Game View, press on a Tattoo Shop in the scroll menu on the right side of the screen. When you enter a Tattoo Shop, press on ‘View Book’ in the bottom right hand corner to see the artist’s tattoos. Press on a Tattoo Group to select it. Within a group, swipe left and right to see available tattoos in the group. Select a Tattoo and press ‘BUY’ in the upper right hand corner of the screen to purchase it.
How do I place Tattoos? To place a Tattoo, first press on a body part on the “Select a body part” screen. Now you will go into a closer view of the selected body part. At this point, you can move the tattoo around by pressing it and sliding it. Grab the tattoo by the middle with two fingers and twist to rotate it. Enlarge or shrink the size of the tattoo by pinching it between two fingers or by spreading it with two fingers. Also, you can press on the body part itself and rotate it. When trying to place a tattoo, sometimes moving the body is a good way to get the exact angle you want. When you are satisfied with your placement, press ‘APPLY’.
What is the Tattoo Tweet Board? While your tattoo is in progress, you can read tweets from the world of tattoos at the Tattoo Tweet Board. Once your tattoo is completed, the ‘OK’ button will appear in the bottom, right-hand corner.
What is the Photo Booth? In the Photo Booth you can take a photo of your character’s tattoos. You can take wide body shots, or zoom in on certain body parts. When you like your pose, press ‘Take Photo’ to take a Tattoovatar portrait. Tattoovatar portraits can be saved to the iPhone® camera roll and/or posted to Facebook.
How do I move my Tattoovatar’s arms in the Photo Booth? To move your Tattoovatar’s arms, press on a joint (white sphere) so that it turns green. You can then drag the joint to move the arm around. Press on a joint again to return it to its original white state. Don’t worry, these white spheres will not appear in the photo you save to your camera roll or post to Facebook. Experiment with your arms to create crazy poses!
How do I post my photo on Facebook? First and foremost, you have to have a Facebook account. Once you’ve entered the Photo Booth and pressed ‘Take Photo’, you will be asked if you want to save your photo to your camera roll. Immediately after, you will be asked if you’d like to post to Facebook. At this point you can log in to your Facebook account. Once you’ve successfully logged in, your photo will automatically be posted to your wall where your Facebook friends can see and comment on your fresh ink. You’ll remain logged in unless you go to the ‘Settings’ section and log out.
What is the Gallery? The Gallery is a place where you and other Tattoo Me tattoovatars can show off your body art. When you post your photo to Facebook you’re automatically added to the Tattoo Me Gallery. You can also become a Facebook fan of Tattoo Me and be a part of the Tattoo Me community. NOTE: When you press the ‘Gallery’ button from the Main Game View, the Tattoo Me app will close and launch the mobile Safari browser on your iPhone® or iPod touch®.
I’m out of money. What do I do? From the Main Game View, press the ‘Job Center’ button. In the Job Center, available shifts can be selected by pressing on them to earn cash immediately. After working a shift, the timer starts, and a new shift will come available when the timer runs out. Head back to the Job Center frequently to catch available shifts as soon as they come available.
How do I earn Respect? There are two ways to earn Respect in the game. The first way is by getting tattoos. Each time you get a tattoo, you earn Respect. The second way to earn Respect is by hanging out. Hangouts are found throughout the Scroll Menu in the Main Game View. To earn Respect at a Hangout, you need to do stuff. Doing stuff costs money. As soon as you press on a button to buy stuff, you earn instant Respect. Free items are a low risk gamble. If you press on a Free Activity in a Hangout, you might earn a little Respect, or you might lose a little Respect.
How do I get to a higher level? Keep earning Respect to level up. Your Respect meter is at the bottom of the screen and shows how much Respect you need to get to the next level.
What do I gain by leveling up? By leveling up, you can unlock new Artists, new tattoos, new Jobs and new Hangouts. Also, hangout activities offer increased respect at higher game levels.
How many levels are in the game? There are 20 levels in the game. To unlock the Legendary Ink tattoo shop, you need to get to Level 18.
How do I create a new TATTOOVATAR? At any point in the game, you can delete your current Tattoovatar and start a new one. Press on the Settings Menu Icon at the top, left corner of the Main Game View and go to ‘Reset All Data’. Select ‘Yes’ on the first screen to delete your current Tattoovatar. When you go back to the game, you will be prompted to create your new Tattoovatar. You can only maintain one Tattoovatar at a time.
Why is the tattoo taking so long? Large tattoos take longer for artists to finish than small tattoos. Also, if you cross multiple body parts with a single tattoo, it will take longer for the artist to finish. Be patient with large tattoos.
Can I play a song from my iPod while I play? Yes. To do this, launch the iPod app and start playing a song or playlist. Return to the Home screen and then launch the Tattoo Me: Legendary Ink app. You can rock out or chill out to your favorite tunes while you get inked up. HINT: To pause or skip to the next track without having to exit the app, quickly double-tap the Home button to launch a transport control pop-up window.
Why isn’t there a female Tattoovatar? There is! The female version is featured in the companion product TATTOO ME: INKSPIRATIONS, available now is the App Store.
Why aren’t there more sounds? Additional sounds are being developed and will be added in future updates.
